Iltaco Foods was established in the early 1900s. Now nearly a 100 year old family business. The company began with a Beef Tamale and a simple push cart. The Chicago push cart vendors would line up and load their carts with delicious tamales and sell them throughout neighborhoods of Chicago. Their great grandfather was one of these local vendors that became quite successful. He soon turned a one man vending business into something bigger. Here is where the story began and still builds on today. Soon the business was passed along from generation to generation. Iltaco Foods began with Beef Tamales then onto Pizza Puffs, Burritos, and Pizza. They began in food service market and then realized that there was certain application for their products in the retail market(s). They are proud to say that the fourth generation of the family has found a home at Iltaco Foods. Their mission is the same today as it has always been and that is to continue to put smiles on their customer's faces. The smiles come from the excitement in the products because the products they deliver are of a quality that other products do not match!
