George's Naturals business started as George’s Liquor and Deli, a small family-owned store in Chicago in 1971. The store specialties were the smoked whole muscles and sausages which were made at
the small production room attached to the store. The products were made from the original family recipes in the way Europeans used to do back home for years. Over the last few years the store has
experienced an increased demand for these products, especially during winter. That was the reason for extending the business into wholesale markets.
George’s Brand Meats, operating in a USDA-approved plant, was established in late 2006 for this reason. The company has continued to produce smoked meat products in the same traditional way, but now with greatly increased production capacity and a larger assortment of products.
